I love getting my nails done from time to time just like a lot of other girls do, but do you ever think about what types of chemicals are in your typical nail polish. Some of the chemicals used are dibutyl phthalate, toluene, camphor, formaldehyde resin and formaldehyde.
Yes! Formaldehyde…one of of the chemicals used in embalming fluid…ewww! So you can imagine that most of these chemicals are not good for your insides when exposed to them regularly and for a long period of time. The great news is that some of my favorite nail polish brands such as OPI and Essie don’t contain dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde and toluene, which are considered the “big 3” chemicals in nail polish.
If you’re one of those girls that refuse to use chemical filled nail polish at all and choose to use 100% natural nail polish I discovered the perfect 100% natural nail polish brand for you. the brand is called 100% pure. They’re a 100% natural beauty brand and they carry natural makeup, hair care, skin care, nail polish products on their website 100percentpure. Their products are 100% natural and only undergo chemical changes that are natural like fermentation, distillation, and cold processing.
They have a wide range of nail polish colors in their line so you can find any color for any season and occasion. If you try out one of their nail polishes or any of their natural products let me know I would love to know your experience. Happy natural beauty shopping!
